OpenEmotionAI Foundation

The OpenEmoAI Foundation (shortened for OpenEmotionAI) holds equity in OpenEmo AI, Public Benefit Corporation retains control and oversight over the for-profit Public Benefit Corporation (PBC),  This structure ensures that while the organization can raise capital without profit caps, its core mission to develop beneficial emotion artificial general intelligence (EAGI) remains governed by the nonprofit.

The For-Profit PBC has created P.E.A.K.S., a software platform that leverages expertise in Psychology, Empathy, Anxiety, and Kinesiology to enhance understanding of how to both safeguard humanity and improve human health.

Our Mission

Our mission is to ensure that emotion artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity.  treating "thinking" AI and "feeling" AI as separate but complementary goals creates a safer, more modular, and ethically sound path to advanced AI, ensuring intelligence is paired with wisdom and understanding.

Using our EmoPEAK's psychology, empathy and anxiety speech and body behavior synthesising engine, we specialize in innovative diagnostics that identify emotional biomarkers linked to pain and disease risk. Our patent-pending technology allows for a deeper understanding of how emotions impact physical health. By detecting emotional signatures, we can provide insights that traditional diagnostics may overlook, especially as it relates to the over or under use of medication.

Our Legacy

Our OpenEmo AI System was created in collaboration with children’s hospitals to alleviate anxiety and pain in young patients and help kids with brain challenges.  Mindheart AI was founded after the diagnosis of the founders’ son with schizophrenia, and the heartbreaking loss of their first son at age one from a brain disease.

Mindheart AI’s EduPal robots were initially introduced at CHOC and Rady Children’s Hospitals. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we enhanced the robots to enable remote monitoring of temperature and oxygen levels from up to 10 feet away.

Our mission is to allocate a portion of our sales to support hospitalized children by donating both robots and software to improve their care experie

OpenEmotionAI Foundation, OpenEmoAI, Inc., PBC & Humanity Vs Technology

The OpenEmoAI Foundation holds equity in OpenEmo AI, Public Benefit Corporation retains control and oversight over the for-profit Public Benefit Corporation (PBC),  This structure ensures that while the organization can raise capital without profit caps, its core mission to develop beneficial emotion artificial general intelligence (EAGI) remains governed by the nonprofit.

The For-Profit PBC has created P.E.A.K.S., a software platform that leverages expertise in Psychology, Empathy, Anxiety, and Kinesiology to enhance understanding of how to both safeguard humanity and improve human health. The "human vs. technology" debate isn't about a battle but a symbiotic relationship, with humans driving technology, and technology shaping humanity; humans excel in empathy, creativity, and ethical judgment, while tech offers unmatched speed, data processing, and automation for efficiency, leading to a future where the best outcomes arise from humans leveraging technology as a powerful tool to amplify, not replace, uniquely human strengths like intuition and consciousness.

    Human Strengths

    • Empathy & Emotion: Genuine emotional understanding and nuanced social interaction.
    • Creativity & Intuition: Generating novel ideas, hypotheses, and insights beyond data patterns.
    • Ethical Judgment: Applying morality, context, and intent to decisions.
    • Consciousness & Experience: Possessing self-awareness, personal history, and lived experience.

    Technology's Strengths

    • Automation: Handling repetitive, menial, or complex tasks at scale.
    • Data Processing: Analyzing vast amounts of data at speeds beyond human capability.
    • Efficiency & Scale: Solving problems faster and at a much larger scale.
    • Connectivity: Bridging gaps and facilitating communication.

    The Symbiotic Future

    • Collaboration: The most successful model involves humans and tech working together, with humans guiding the tools.
    • Enhancement: Technology should enhance human capabilities (e.g., medicine, education).
    • Intentional Use: The outcome depends on how thoughtfully we use technology, balancing its benefits with preserving our core humanity.
    • New Roles: Automation may shift jobs, but enhances skilled roles requiring human oversight and creativity.

    The Risk

    • Over-reliance: Excessive reliance can lead to disconnection, superficiality, and a diminished sense of self, blurring lines between real and simulated experiences.
